A Masked Man and A Book Club

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to join a masked man's book club? Well, here in the Scary Vibes community we have just started "What's Your Favorite Scary Book?" Book club. Of course, with the masked man himself, Mr. Scary. Once a month we pick a book for a horrifying, good time. This month's choice is, The Final Girls Support Group by Grady Hendrix. The perfect book for the spooky season and our thirteen-day movie countdown to Halloween.

What's Your Favorite Scary Book? Book Club

Here is what to expect from our book club, at Scary Vibes. Every Sunday at 9:30pm, we hold a book club meeting with Mr. Scary present. Going over what we have read, sharing our favorite parts, discussing the characters, and world-building. Even sharing our theories on what is to come in the future chapters. Every month we choose from three options for the upcoming month (sometimes following a theme). At the end of every month there is a giveaway, for those participating in the book club. So, make sure to join in time for the next one.

Our First Book Club Meeting

When discussing The Final Girl Support Group we went over the first eight chapters. Establishing the setting, introducing the main characters, and presenting the inciting incident. They also lay the groundwork for Lynnette’s transformation from a passive survivor to someone who must confront the threat directly. Which led to questions like:

1. What does everyone think of Lynette's POV on the final girls? Do you think her perspective of them will change?

2. Based on the first 8 chapters, who do you think the killer is and why?

3. Did anyone notice the easter eggs that link to any classic horror movies?

4. How do you think this will play out in the next 8 chapters?
