Neve Campbell will return in Scream VII with the focus on Sidney Prescott. We get to follow the iconic Scream Queen as she takes on one of our favorite Slashers, Ghostface, again! Campbell stated: “I love these movies, they are so much fun to be a part of, I’m so grateful for them, I could never have imagined being a part of a movie that would have lasted this many decades,” she said. The thing is, the Scream Franchise was trying to steer away from Campbell until new lead star, Melissa Barerra, got fired for social media posts and Jenna Ortega dropped out. Franchise rights holders Horror Inc. officially launched the Jason Universe back in May, marking the dawn of a “new era” for the long-dormant Friday the 13th franchise. What does this mean for fans? We were told at the time, “New Friday the 13th activations will span a wide range of platforms from entertainment, games, immersive experiences, merchandise, and more to be announced throughout 2024.” Horror Inc. added, “We can’t wait to introduce new Jason Universe activations to these amazing fans.” On that note, IGN has revealed that the Jason Universe is headed to San Diego Comic-Con this week, offering exclusive merchandise at the StylinOnline Tower of T-Shirts booths (#415 and #5029).
