There’s no doubt about it, Bill Skarsgard has definitely stepped up into the iconic place of Pennywise. Whether you love the original IT (1990) or the reboot, Skarsgard has earned his spot as the Dancing Clown. HBO making a spin off of IT would entice fans of the horror movie more by keeping our beloved Skarsgard. I’ve read quite a bit of Horror fans take on the new Welcome to Derry TV series, and felt that they only wanted to watch it if Bill Skarsgard came back to play in it as Pennywise. Personally I would still watch it, being a sucker for Pennywise in general. That being said, however, Skarsgard playing his iconic role is only fitting and feels familiar. I'd rather not have to see someone fill in those clown shoes. BUT! Some AMAZING News!!! Bill Skarsgard is returning as Pennywise in the upcoming prequel series ‘Welcome to Derry’ YAY!!!
